Olivia’s love affair with yoga began during college when she wandered into a Vinyasa Flow style class. Through the intense physical and mental challenge, she was able for the first time in her life, to turn off the constant background anxiety she had always walked around with. She would leave class feeling strong, empowered, happy, and at peace.
Olivia has been teaching since 2001. Having struggled with and overcome a serious back injury, she brings compassion and empathy to her teaching. She knows how hard it is to be patient and compassionate with her own body and brain, finding the balance between accepting ones own limitations and breaking through fear to challenge and push yourself. She encourages people to be light hearted and have fun, to work with their own unique bodies, to build the foundations for a sustainable, injury free, lifetime practice.
Olivia’s classes are breath driven, with a focus on alignment…and having fun.
She believes the yoga mat is the perfect, safe place, to be challenged, practice equanimity, self care, and to build skills for real life.
Olivia practices yoga because it inspires her to be a kinder, more aware, human being. Yoga has given her the tools to be stronger, happier, less stressed, and better able to gracefully handle what ever life throws in her way.
She teaches to share this powerful, joyful, practice with as many people as possible.
When not on her mat, you can find her at the ceramic studio pursuing her passion to create art.
