Eagle Pose

 

This pose is great for balance and focus!

  1. Start in Chair pose (see previous).
  2. Balance weight into your right foot and double wrap your left thigh over your right. If possible, hook the ankles.
  3. Starting with your arms in Cactus (see previous), double wrap your left arm under your right arm. If possible, touch the palms together.
  4. Keep your core engaged and eyes focused on a single point (drishti).

Physical benefits: tones the arms and legs, opens the upper back, and improves balance and posture.

Energetic benefits: grounging, restores focus and attention, and promotes overall mental acuity.
