Kay Andrade
Kay Andrade, Bay Area OYO Instructor
Kay began her yoga journey in 1998 while pregnant with her second child. While raising two kids, and moving from coast to coast for her husband’s career, Kay recognized that the practice kept her grounded; she always found ways to sneak in some time on the mat. After an accident in 2014 left her with a broken back, she chose to turn fully towards yoga to help expedite her recovery. In 2015 she completed her 200-hour teacher certification, and in 2016, completed an extension program.
Since yoga has had such a healing and positive impact on her life Kay is dedicated to sharing it with others, of any age.
Outside of yoga, Kay enjoys The Beatles, paddle boarding, hiking, and painting. She volunteered as Chairperson for the John Muir Medical Center Auxiliary, from 2010 to 2017, where she worked with local art associations in an effort display local artists’ pieces at the the Aspen Surgery Center in Walnut Creek.
